5. Salt

Salt.
After growing overly fond of a certain show, the young alien girl, Komatya, had begun carrying salt with her. Everywhere. Whenever she got scared, she’s throw salt on them. She had her friend take water and turn it into Holy water, so she’s carrying that too. With a lighter and some other things. Everywhere she went.

She sat in her room watching a movie, Johnny’s arm stretched over her shoulder. He grinned evilly, and gently poked her sides. In turn, that made her shriek to the high heavens and throw her holy water on him. He fussed slightly as she panicked and ran behind the couch.

“Geez, Koma, paranoid much? You know this stuff isn’t real right?” Johnny sighed and zipped around the room a few times, drying him off.

“It’s still giving me nightmares…” The young woman frowned.

“Koma…” he frowned and walked behind the couch and picked her up.

She squirmed and struggled, but he had her tight.

“I’m taking you to a shooting range. That way you can at least shoot the stuff.” He carried her out of her room and to the main room.

There was a curious look on the other titans’ faces, and slight amusement. They watched the scene play out, of them leaving, and walking to the bus stop.

Upon reaching the shooting range, Koma was given a short barreled shotgun. The headphones covering her eyes and glasses covering her eyes made Johnny chuckle. The young woman took a deep breath and shot at the targets. She’d missed only one. Her first.

“Alright, try it with rock-salt.” Johnny grinned and took the gun from her, and loaded the rock-salt for her. “Cocked and loaded. Fire when ready.”

She grinned slightly and shot him. It wouldn’t kill him, but it’d hurt.

“What the hell was that for?!” He jumped up and put his hand on the barrel.

“Scaring me earlier.” She smiled softly, and kissed his cheek. He blinked as she walked off, leaving the gun in his hand. “Don’t forget the salt.”

The line made the boy look at the gun and chuckled.

“I know what we’re doing next Halloween.”

“Sam and Dean?”

“No, Salt and Pepper.”
