PROLOGUE

A young girl sat in the darkness, her body being attacked. Screams echoed through the darkness. The girl was drowning in the darkness. For years, the girl was tortured. Until one day, a shining light shown through the darkness. It reached out and touched her, bringing her to the real world, not one that is all cruel and dark. One built of fear and pain. One of love, and friendship. The girl had never seen such beauty in something before. She moved toward it. The closer she got, the warmer it became. She found herself in a field, her eyes open to the world around her, she was only a baby. Her ears had desperate words echoing through them. Words she couldn't understand at her age. A young woman held the child, taking her from grassy plains to her warm safe arms. The woman's skin was outlandishly pale. The little girl, pointed ears, genuinely pointed ears. A wail could be heard around the entire kingdom. Everyone knew a baby was born. In the Ordon province, a young boy, only a year or so old heard the cry and turned toward the fields as he sat on a goat. In the Hyrule Castle Courtyard, a young girl, about three or so, also heard the screams. She looked to an older woman.

"Mother, I want to find the source of the screaming. Please?" the little girl tugged on the woman's long, elegant gown.

"Take some guards with you, daughter. You never know what's lurking outside those walls." the woman nodded to several guards. "Go, she will require protection."

"Yes your majesty." the guards followed the little girl out of the courtyard.

Meanwhile, in the province, the little boy tugged on an older man's pants.

"Rusl, can we go find the screams? Please?" the little boy pleaded to the older man. The older man heard the screams in the winds. The man nodded and the two went out to find the source of the wails.

In the field, hooves pounded against the grass, a large dark horse trampled all in its path. A large man was riding the beast of a stallion. He spotted the woman. He galloped over to her. The woman saw him and ran. She feared for her life, and the life of the little baby in her arms. He cut her off before she could reach the river.

"Dear, dear, sweet woman, give me my child." the man attempted to charm her. She turned her back to the frightening man. He hopped off his horse and she dashed past him. She was aiming for the river, again. The woman was grabbed by the man. "Give me my child!" the man barked. The woman struggled.

The little girl found herself watching the affair. The little baby was dropped. The woman pushed off the man to dive for the child. She dove into the water with the child. The man held up his hand as archers aimed to fire at the swimming woman. He pointed his hand and they all fired. Arrows punctured her backside and she bled. She rose and reached the opposite side of the river. The baby began crying again. The woman held onto the child as she bled. The little girl ran up to the woman and pointed at the man and his soldiers who were firing at the poor woman. The guards ran out to go get the soldiers firing at the woman. The large man ran, leaving his horse there to die. The guards defeated the soldiers as the woman collapsed.

"Please, dear princess... Take this child... Don't let her be touched by the coming darkness... You're her only hope now..." the woman pleaded, her already pale skin grew paler and her fine features glistened in the sunlight. Her baby continued to wail, uncontrollably. "Please..." the woman was losing strength. She collapsed to the ground. The little girl took the child, the baby who was only recently born.

The young boy watched as the older woman was dying. The guards led the young princess away. The little girl stopped.

"Excuse me, but what's her name?" the little girl asked before getting too far away.

"Ashe... Her name is Ashe." the woman closed her eyes. "Oh... Give these to her, when she's older, please..." the woman took something out of her satchel and the little girl ran to get it before she collapsed.

"I'll put them on her now... She can ask about them when she's older."

The woman collapsed, again. The little girl bowed her head to honor the woman. The little boy watched as the woman lay there, dying. The horse trotted through the water, and reached the other side. The young boy jumped into the water and stared at the dying woman.

"I can sense a light emanating from you, dear boy." the woman picked up her hand, weakly. "I have a feeling your path will cross with so many others... If you meet that baby there... Give her this. Please child, I haven't much longer."

The little boy took the. Necklace from the woman as she collapsed, closing her eyes. Rusl walked up to the boy.

"Poor thing must've wanted to love that baby, so much... Come on, Link. Let's go home. There's nothing we can do here." the man led the boy away.

This is the Prologue to Ashe's story. I hope you all like it, because I know I do! I love my OCs, and don't like it when people give me bad examples about why they don't like them... something like "Oh well, I don't like this person because I like the pairing of sosoXsoso"
Seriously? Tell me about the writing, because I will NOT stop uploading the character's story. She's got a LOOOOOOOONG story, and if you want more details about the character ASK!
Seriously, there are parts that are rather skipped over. So pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease let me know if you want more details!

If you just :+fav: without leaving a comment, I will NOT thank you, at all! I'm sick of people just :+fav: stuff and telling what they like about it, or what they don't like!
